A model as exceptional as the Reverso Squadra World Chronograph Polo Fields could certainly justify the first ever use of ceramics in the Reverso range. Highly technical, incredibly resistant and ultra-sporty, only such a model could display this extreme design consisting of a pivoting black ceramic case resting on a pink-gold or titanium carrier.
An automatic Jaeger-LeCoultre movement
Specially designed for the Reverso Squadra World Chronograph Polo Fields, the twin-barrel automatic Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 753 appears through the transparent city disc providing a glimpse of the oscillating weight of this superb 39-jewel movement, beating at a cadence of 28,800 vibrations per hour. This mechanical masterpiece is endowed with all the genius of a movement capable of displaying different indications on each side of the reversible case thanks to a gear transmission system that circumvents the oscillating weight. Its twin barrels also ensure a comfortable 65 hour power reserve.
100% Reverso Squadra design and functions
The exceptional quality of the black ceramic material chosen by Jaeger-LeCoultre - a blend of yttrium and zirconium oxides - also opened up whole new vistas for the Manufacture designers, who brilliantly play on the powerful contrasts between the gold or titanium and the deep black shade of the case. Superbly crafted from black carbon fibre, the dials are lit up by white numerals in a resolutely Reverso style, as indeed are the seconds hand and movement operating indicator, thus enabling instant reading of the essential information. On the back, the spectacular world-time function indicates the entire set of time zones on a transparent disc divided into 24 sections, a disc that provides glimpses of the complexity of the automatic Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 753.
