Vacheron Constantin launches Quai de l'Ile in New

To commemorate this night, Vacheron Constantin honored the achievements of author Salman Rushdie, architect Richard Meier, and news anchor Charlie Rose. Marc Guten, International Director of Vacheron Constantin and Julien Tornare, President of Vacheron Constantin North America, hosted the spectacular event which took place at the Frank Gehry-designed IAC Building in New York City and benefited the Afghanistan World Foundation (AWF).

Hollywood's brightest stars came out to support the launch of Quai de l'Ile. Joining the guests were Grammy Award Winner Ne-Yo, who also gave a special live performance, Oscar Award Winner Susan Sarandon, Kate Bosworth, Lindsay Price, Kim Raver, NBA Champion and Olympic Gold Metalist Ray Allen of the Boston Celtics, Fabiola Beracasa, Katie Lee Joel, Ann Dexter-Jones and Derek Blasberg. The 300 guests who attended were a mix of collectors, celebrities, socialites, and philanthropists. Afghanistan World Foundation is a non-political charity organization which delivers humanitarian aid such as mobile medical units, hospitals and schools to Afghanistan.

The IAC building is home to state of the art technologies that mirror the new collection. Vacheron Constantin brought interactive stations for guests to experience the new Quai de l'Ile environment and customize their own watch. At the stations guests used the Vacheron Constantin watch configurator to practice customizing their own timepiece and view all the details of the new collection. Several watch configurator stations were connected to a 120 foot (37 meters) long video wall which showed the watches as they were being customized live. Eighteen Vacheron Constantin authorized retailers will carry Quai de l'Ile and its special watch configurator in the U.S..
