This new watch utilizes brand new in-house movemet calibre 1270P, produced as a result of three years long research and development work. According to the Piaget, the new movement blends the best features of their previous in-house calibers 128P and 600P. The new movement is only is 5.5mm thick , allowing for the case of this Emperador Coussin model to measure amazing 10.4mm. The movement is composed of 269 components.
Piaget Emperador Coussin Tourbillon Automatic Ultra Thin comes in 46.5 mm wide cushion-shaped case, and two varieties, as a 18-carat pink gold model, or white gold model. The watch’s dial is fitted with a transparent laser-engraved glass, allowing the view on a delicate inner mechanism and its guilloched gold micro-rotor, adorned with the Piaget coat-of-arms. The dial also features an off-set hour and minutes display at 5 o’clock with tapered hour markers pointing towards its center.
The solid case back features a pair of cut-outs: one for the tourbillon carriage and the other for the power reserve indicator.

The 21st Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie will be opened from January 17th to 21st 2011. This private trade fair will also host an outstanding exhibition of "Treasures from the Beyer Clock and Watch Museum in Zurich."
