All of their timepieces are entirely manufactured in Switzerland, and strongly inspired by the feats of army and air force squads that cultivate the spirit of accuracy by relying on precise timekeeping instruments.
At BaselWorld, Blacksand will present the Uniformity, a contemporary designed timepiece built on the traditional watchmaking values. The piece stands out with its urban and sporty appeal, and very interesting sandblasted matt ceramic shafts that shape the lugs.
The watch is an officially certified chronometer by the COSC and by Chronofiable, available in grade 5 titanium, tantalum, and 5N gold or sandblasted matt ceramic. The rather large case measures 46mm in diameter, framing the two-level dial with opaline base and straight satin-brushed upper plate. The dials are available in black, black gold or white, with a choice of rhodium treated hour-markers with blue-emission Superluminova or Arabic numerals made of composite Superluminova in high relief.
The watch utilizes Blacksand Genève Calibre 1970, equipped with twin-barrels and able to provide 5 days of power reserve. The base calibre provides instant date jump, stop seconds, and one-way automatic winding. The beautiful movement is coated in black and fully visible through the transparent case-back.
The watch is completed with interchangeable straps, allowing for the further customization. The straps are available in HNBR technical rubber or alligator skin fitted with a triple-blade folding clasp completed with ceramic-capped personalized pushers.
According to the most prominent reference site for Swiss watches and jewellery, the Blacksand Uniformity is going to be priced anywhere between $10,000 and $20,000.
