Some of the details on the watch, like lug covers, are entirely redesigned, while the magnificence of the imperial age still remains recognizable in the unique classy appeal. The mother-of pearl dial is once again inspired by the monarch’s cushions, used to hold the insignia. The time is indicated by the Roman numerals and finely curved hands, shaped like tapered daggers used by sovereigns in battles. The redesigned lugs are crafted in the style of antique columns and adorned with briolette-cut cabochons for rose gold variation, and blue sapphires for the white gold model.
The Chopard Imperiale watch is available in a number of sizes, fitted with a quartz, self-winding or chronograph movement. The choice also varies between diamond-set or all-polished versions in steel or in rose or white gold, mounted on metal bracelet or leather straps.
