Zenith El Primero Stratos Flyback Striking 10th Watch

The new watch from Zenith is the ultimate flight instrument, capable of withstanding the pressure, extreme vibrations and violent accelerations. This robust watch is a hier of the Rainbow Flyback model, which was developed especially for the French Air force in 1997. However, the new and advanced piece now houses the world’s most accurate automatic chronograph movement – the El Primero, equipped with Striking 10th and Flyback functions.

The original Rainbow Flyback was made especially for the French Ministry of Defense. The new model follows the concept of highly demanding timepiece, offering the wearer the enhanced accuracy, reliability and extreme endurance. This is immediately noticeable on robust casing topped with unidirectional bezel with black scratch-proof ceramic disk. The body is sculptured from stainless steel, and measures 45.5 millimeters in diameter. The rounded sapphire crystal protects the face of a watch, inspired by the shape of an astrodome.



This military apparatus features a telemeter scale on the flange, a large date indicator and an integrated column-wheel chronograph. Hours and minutes are indicated in the center, while the equally distributed sub counters measure: small seconds at 9 o’clock, 60-minutes at 6 o’clock and 60-ceconds at 3 o’clock. 1/10th of a second measurement are indicated by the chronograph hand.

The El Primero 4057B, automatic movement is composed of 326 parts and fitted with 31 jewels. It is generously decorated with “Côtes de Genève” pattern, and provides over 50 hours of power reserve. The watch is water resistant to 100 meters and mounted on a black alligator-leather strap or metal bracelet with stainless steel triple folding buckle.



The watch is available in limited edition of only 1,969 copies. The numbered edition honors the year the El Primero movement was first created.
