François-Paul Journe, Master watchmaker and CEO of F.P.Journe wanted to make something completely new, a watch that is both sportive and exclusive. Therefore, the unique mechanical chronograph made entirely in aluminum was born. The case, the bracelet and even the movement of this exquisite piece are entirely crafted in aluminum. The new piece is a part of the Sport Line collection, which also radiates with astounding lightness and sporty design. Aluminum is a truly remarkable material, low in density, lightweight but able to resist corrosion. Owing to the properties of aluminum, the new watch weighs only 55 grams. The material has undergone special processing in order to make the it scratch resistant and give it anti-allergic properties.

This watch is already listed at Christie’s as Sale 2867 / Lot 2192 A and described as fine and extremely rare aluminum and rubber, scratch resistant manually-wound chronograph wristwatch with 100th of a second, 20 second and 10 minute registers, patented rocker for re-set at 2 o'clock and power reserve, manufactured in May 2011.
