Grand Feu enamel dial is made using a high temperature firing technique. It typically uses a limited range of colors painted onto the raw glaze and fired together at high temperature. To make such an exquisite dial, a master artisan has to work for at least a week, peaking with one eye through the microscope. The result is this astonishing, highly decorative bold paint.

Crafted in red gold, the 43-millimeter wide case conceals a self-winding mechanical movement fitted with a double barrel. It generously provides up to 68 hours of power reserve and boasts gorgeously decorated oscillating weight made in white gold. The oscillating weight has a hand-engraved sunray motif, as a subtle signature of Jaquet Droz. This unique piece is water resistant to 30 meters.
The starting price for the unique Petite Heure Minute is CHF 37,000. If you’re interested for this piece, the biannual Only Watch 2011 Charity Auction starts on September 22, 2011. The auction is held in Monaco, at Hotel Hermitage. Since the last edition in September 2009, € 2,5 million have been donated to 18 scientific partners for research on Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
