Hublot Nastie Bang - a homage to Ilie Nastase

The former professional tennis player held the position of world’s world's champion during the 1970s. Nastase was one of the five players in history to win more than 100 ATP professional titles, and he held the top position in white sport for 40 consecutive weeks. He was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 1991, and now honored by Hublot with this very special limited edition series of only 132 pieces - a reference to the exact number of titles Ilie Nastase won in his career!




The design of the watch is based on classic 44-diameter Big Bang. The watch is sculptured in microblasted black ceramic, lightweight, extremely durable and scratch resistant. Anthracite grey dial has a tennis-inspired 60-second counter at 9 o’clock. It features the points awarded in the tennis match “15-30-40-game Nastase”. A 30-minute counter, located at 3 o’clock is stamped with a tennis ball. Nastase’s signature appears in red, printed under the sapphire crystal at 6 o’clock. Generously decorated, the dial boasts red and yellow details, paying a tribute to Romania – Nastase’s homeland.

The watch is powered by Hublot’s automatic mechanical chronograph HUB 4100 calibre movement, which is partially visible from the caseback. The case back reveals Ilie Nastase’s transfer image along with the insignia of this numbered limited edition. Mounted on adjustable back rubber and alligator strap, with yellow stitching, the watch is water resistant to 100 meters.
