Piaget makes an eloquent homage to its predecessors with this vintage-style special edition. Both watches are made in the spirit of the 1960s. Hard stone dials are one of the hallmarks of the brand. In the 1960’s the selection of Piaget’s dials included no less than 30 different variations: opal, turquoise, lapis-lazuli, jade, quartz… Hard stone is actually any kind of opaque, usually semiprecious stone that can be shaped or carved to make pieces of jewelry. The brand has been cultivating the expertise in hard stone dials for more than 50 years. In 1960’s their two-millimeter thick cases were fitted with delicate hard stone dials just seven-tenths of a millimeter thick.
