Patek Philippe's new Ref. 5235 Annual Calendar Regulator also has an advanced calendar indication that displays the month, day, and date, using the three apertures. Unlike the perpetual calendar, annual calendar demands manual adjustment once per year, each February. The apertures are arranged on the dual-tone silvery gray dial with a vertical satin finish. The color of the dial changes in contrast from deep black to a silvery gray, depending on the angled incidence of the light. Visual splendor is emphasized by the brighter railway track minute scale on a silvery-gray background.

The watch is made in 18K white gold and has an oval diameter of 40.5 mm millimeters. The masculine round case repeats the classic Calatrava design and has a sapphire-crystal display back, allowing the wearer to admire delicate movements of the inner mechanism. Delicate ultra thin movement makes this watch extremely dressy, with a height of mere 11 millimeters. The watch is completed with alligator leather strap in matt night-blue shade. The strap is hand-stitched, and has a 16-mm prong buckle made in white gold. Water resistant to 30 meters.
