The Piaget Altiplano is a timeless and chic piece, and therefore a perfect choice of the vampire Bill Compton on HBO’s hit series. However, this wasn’t an easy choice. According to the press release from the brand, Piaget has worked closely with True Blood team to find a piece that perfectly fits to devilish and charming nature of this character. Finally, a decision was made: classic 38mm Altiplano made in yellow gold, fitted with a white dial and mounted on a black alligator strap.
This watch runs on epic ultra-thin mechanical movement 430P, and has a slender case that measures only 6mm in thickness. This is a mechanical hand-wound movement built on 131 components. It provides 40 hours of power reserve, when fully wound, and allows for hours and minutes indications. The movement is graced with circular-grained mainplate, bridges, circular Côtes de Genève and beautiful blued screws.
