Scottish actor is the new ambassador for contemporary Swiss haute horology manufacture Roger Dubuis. The actor recently had a tour of the Roger Dubuis manufacture, which was an excellent opportunity for him to discover the magical world of fine watchmaking and some of its secrets. At the end of the tour, Butler admits: “I’m blown away… watchmaking is just like the cinema, it hides a precise mechanism which must then generate emotion. The world of ROGER DUBUIS, the arrival of its collections, like spaces of freedom, perfectly matches my principles. You need to take chances in life and always push yourself.”



On the leading photo we see him wearing an astonishing piece of the Warrior range from the Excalibur collection: The Excalibur Skeleton Double Flying Tourbillon, a watch that is so like him. This is a self-winding mechanical watch issued in a limited edition of 88 pieces. It is crafted in white gold, houses a manufacture movement and boasts exceptional haute horlogerie finishing. With 45.0 mm in diameter and 7.6 mm in thickness, it appears bold and robust on the wrist. However, the watch is an embodiment of the most refined accomplishments in horological craftsmanship and possibly one of the most interesting watches issued in 2011. Moreover, Roger Dubuis is the only watchmaker in the world to have all of its movements stamped with the Poinçon de Genève (Geneva Seal), a guarantee of fine craftmanship. We certainly recommend this piece as a great investment.
