The case measures 42.5mm in diameter and conceals the COSC-certified automatic movement built on a Swiss ETA 2892 with a chronograph and a big date module. The movement is built on 49 jewels, it beats at 28,800 vph and offers 40 hours of power reserve. The functions supported are hours, minutes, small seconds at 3 o’clock (60), chronograph equipped with 24-hour and 60-minute counters, a central sweep-seconds hand and already mentioned big date display. The central seconds hand supports a flyback function, while the chronograph now offers full 24-hour measurement, instead of just 12 hours, like in the 4th Edition. The special case-back is engraved with Jacky Ickx's signature.

The fifth limited edition is issued in 2.000 pieces in steel and 500 pieces in pink gold, to honor the challenging Le Mans 24 Hours endurance race. The Chopard Classic Racing Jacky Ickx Edition V Chronograph in steel comes under the reference number 168543-3001 and retails at $11,140. The 18-carat pink gold model has a reference number 161286-5001 and retails for $27,400.
