Hublot Antikythera Watch

Hublot is about to unveil one of their most interesting creations.

It is the Hublot Antikythera watch, inspired by the Antikythera mechanism, developed by Ancient Greeks around 2th century BC. The Antikythera mechanism is actually a mechanical computer, developed to calculate astronomical positions. The ancient Antikyera mechanism was recovered in 1900–1901 from the Antikythera wreck, a shipwreck from the 1st or 2nd century BC. It was so precise that it was capable of specifying the exact position of the moon, sun, and the entire sky, for the decades to come.

The new watch, of the inspiring origin, is soon going to be unveiled. For now, Hublot shares this interesting video that gives us a glimpse into what to expect. The watch is a replica of the original Antikythera mechanism, resized to fit onto a wrist. The Hublot antikythera movement is 30mm high and boasts a modern tourbillon, along with many extraordinary complications and unique lunar displays.
