To push things even further, Nick Barndt has now designed a special limited edition of 100 pieces, issued to support the Big Life Foundation. The watch is going to be officially unveiled at the upcoming SIHH 2012 exhibition in Geneve which takes place from 16th to 20th January 2012.

JeanRichard Highlands Big Life limited edition is crafted in PVD-coated stainless steel and topped with a distinctive green rotating bezel engraved with a second time-zone indications. Its sporty-elegant simplicity lends to its overwhelming appearance, which is even further enhanced with the “Big Life” signature in red, appearing just above the 6 o’clock. There is a date indication at 3 o’clock and a swarm of ivory-colored Arabic numerals, coated in bright luminescent material.

The case-back of this watch reveals another stunning detail – there is a symbol of an elephant engraved on the sapphire crystal glass. This is also the insignia of the Foundation, inspired by one of the artist’s most celebrated photos - Elephant with exploding dust. The crystal also reveals the JR1000 in-house manufactured self-winding mechanical movement. The movement is built on 27 jewels and it provides minimum 48 hours of power reserve.

The Highlands watch is available in three dial variations: matt ecru (Highlands sand), khaki (Highlands baobab) or black (Highlands ebony). Each of them is supplied with two straps, one fabric and the other calfskin. Dimensions 44.50x40mm. Water resistant to 100 meters.
