The watch is crafted in 18-carat pink gold with polished and satin-brushed finish. It features a crystalline grained dial with pink gold appliques indicating Hours, minutes, seconds, and jumping stop seconds, date, age, phase of the moon and power reserve. All of the functions are propelled by mechanical manually-wound Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 381, composed of 367 parts and built on 40 jewels. The movement provides 50 hours of power reserve, when fully wound.

Jaeger-LeCoultre Duomètre à Quantième Lunaire 40.5, SIHH 2012
This highly accurate movement captures the objective of the Duomètre line: it is both highly complicated and very stable. Thanks to the dual-wing system, Duomètre watches have solved one of the most demanding watchmaking problems – the reduction of the amount and consistency of the energy that reaches the escapement, which occurs with every new complication. The amount of energy is actually the key for precise timekeeping and optimum accuracy of the watch. Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 381 movement solves this problem by using two separate power reserves independent from each other. One is responsible for timing, and regulated by escapement and balance, while the other powers the display of various indications.
The watch comes under the reference number Q6042521, mounted on brown alligator leather strap and water resistant to 50 meters.
More news about this watch will be available next month, following its official unveiling at SIHH 2012.
