This is not an ordinary minute repeater, but a revolutionary piece built upon a new watchmaking theory about the transmission of sound. A special attention is paid to the relationship between watch’s volume and weight, to ensure wonderful acoustics and power of 68 decibels. Cartier describes the core of their theory like this “the lower the weight of a repeating watch’s case and the larger its diameter, the greater its capacity to produce a loud sound.” For this reason, Cartier watchmakers opted for a lightweight material such as titanium.

Cartier Rotonde de Cartier Minute Repeater
The watch boasts 45 millimeters in diameter and it is available in titanium or in slightly less acoustic (more heavier) pink gold. It is available in a numbered limited edition of 50 models in titanium and 50 models in pink gold, and also offered in a diamond-set version.
Rotonde de Cartier Minute Repeater Flying Tourbillon watch uses an in-house manually-wound calibre 9402 MC, stamped with Geneva Seal. It features a wonderful white galvanized guilloché dial with silvered open-work framework with sunray finish.
