Limited Hublot King Power Diego Maradona Watch

Geneva is today center of the watchmaking world. The most prestigious Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie is taking place from 16th to 20th September, and most of the new releases are being unveiled right at this spot. However, it was a very special day today also in Shanghai, where when legendary football player Diego Maradona took “Hublot One Million RMB Goal Shooting” charity challenge on the bund.

To celebrate the event Hublot has created the second generation of Hublot Maradona limited edition watches – The King Power Maradona. The watch was launched earlier today by Diego Maradona and Mr. Jean-Claude Biver and it is already available for purchase, but in a limited edition of only 700 exemplars in total. The dial of this watch bears symbolic numeral 10 and Maradona’s signature. The watch is actually a mechanical chronograph movement equipped with two chronograph hands where the first indicates the seconds and the other one indicates the time elapsed out of the 45 minutes in each half of the football match.

The watch is available in two variations: crafted from ceramic and crafted from gold. The ceramic version bears reference number 716.CI.1129.RX.DMA11 and it is available in 500 numbered pieces. Golden version comes under the reference number 716.OM.1129.RX.DMA12, limited to 200 pieces.

The case boasts 48 millimeters in diameter and bears Maradona logo transver on crystal case-back. The watch is water resistant to 100 meters and utilizes mechanical automatic HUB4245 skeleton chronograph movement with central 45’ counter. When fully wound, this watch provides 42 hours of power reserve.
