Breitling Chronomat 44 GMT

The history of Breitling Chronomat speaks about one of the rare watches patented in 1941, at the time of the World War 2. This military-inspired piece was one of the first slide-rule wristwatch on the market and since then, it remained Breitling’s most desired model, and a true best-seller. Since 1941, Chronomat has been produced in many different variations, including the one with GMT complication we’re mentioning today. Chronomat GMT is actually a military-styled watch designed for frequent travellers. One of its most distinctive features is its user-friendliness when it comes to moving between time-zones.

This year, Breitling presents the Chronomat GMT in a slightly smaller case (44mm instead of standard 47mm) and with bi-directional ratcheted rotating bezel that displays a third time zone over 24 hours. The watch is crafted in stainless steel and topped with a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides. It also provides superior water resistance to no less than 200 meters or 20 bars.

Inside of it beats Breitling’s in-house COSC certified automatic 04 calibre. This movement is entirely developed and assembled in Breitling’s manufactures, it beats at 28,800 vib/h, and provides at least 70 hours of power reserve.

As always, Breitling offers a number of variations for the dial and the bracelet, giving the customers opportunity to fully customize the watch. Therefore Breitling Chronomat 44 comes with Sierra silver, Onyx black, Metallica or Blackeye blue, Blackeye grey or Metallica brown dial mounted on Barenia leather, crocodile, Ocean Racer rubber, Diver Pro rubber or Pilot steel bracelet.
