The Swiss watchmaker Anonimo, which was originally established in 1997, in Italy, celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. After several years of inventions and a variety of partnerships with the world of sport, Anonimo has become a global brand in 2013, when it finally moved to Switzerland. The manufacture, which fully meets the Swiss Made criteria, has revised, refocused and now falls into four conceptual lines:

The "Sport" line stems from Anonimo’s collaboration with numerous spots teams, mainly within sailing;
The "Militare" line, which is a range of military-inspired watches. The models of this series are distinguished by their winding crowns at 12 o’clock, as on pocket watches.
The "Professionale" line is designed in partnership with the CNS (Cooperative Nazionale Sommazzatori), and it comprises professional diving watches, water resistant to 2000 meters;
The "Dino Zei" is the most elegant range equipped with contemporary functions and with part of its movement being visible.

At this year’s BaselWorld Watch and Jewlery Show, the house of Anonimo has expanded its Militare and Professionale range with a couple of new models. The most interesting of all newcomers is the limited edition Militare Alpini Camouflage Chronograph, the version of the Militare Alpini series. The new military edition in bronze comes in two distinct versions – brown or khaki – each decorated with a military guilloche motif on the dial.

The sturdy 43.4 mm cushion case is the same for all the bronze Alpini versions. This time, however, the dial has been pared down, with the 12, 04 and 08 figures arranged in a triangle, a reminder of the “A” of Anonimo.

The watch face reveals the hours, minutes, small seconds and chronograph functions, all overlaid on the guilloché dial with its camouflage pattern. The chronograph model is powered by a Sellita SW300 automatic movement and a Dubois Dépraz 2035 chronograph module that has been exclusively developed for Anonimo. The movement provides 42 hours of power reserve, and is water resistant to 120 meters.

The Anonimo Militare Alpini Camouflage Chronograph is limited to only 97 individual exemplars. Each of them features a solid titanium case-back medallion, adorned with a relief of the mythical Swiss mountain, the Matterhorn. The Militare Alpini Camouflage Chronograph is supplied with either walnut brown or olive green calf leather strap, handmade in Italy. This limited edition model retails at 5,250 CHF.
