The house of Rado introduces a new limited edition version of its celebrated HyperChrome Ultra Light model. This interesting contemporary timepiece of a minimalist design and cutting-edge materials, has recently won the coveted Australian Good Design Award. What makes it so special is its index-free, texturized dial with concentric grooves and very urban, deep grey monochrome color scheme. This Zen-inspired timepiece is created from a trio of high-performance materials, including silicon nitride ceramic, anodized aluminum, and hardened titanium. The result is a practically indestructible, highly scratch resistant timepiece that weighs only 56 grams.

The Rado HyperChrome Ultra Light, which made its worldwide debut at Baselworld 2016, now arrives in a special Deep Grey version, with a new, multi-level dial, composed of two separate discs. The upper dial, featuring two rather large, semi-circular apertures, provides a glimpse at a bottom dial decorated with wide, horizontal bands. Unlike its predecessor, the Deep Grey version of the HyperChrome Ultra Light is fitted with a crisp minute track and luminous baton hour markers and hands.

The extremely lightweight case remains the same as before. Crafted from dark grey ceramics (silicon nitride) it measures 43mm in diameter. The case middle and the bezel are made from a single block of ceramic, with titanium inserts on the case band. The see-through case-back, secured with four screws, provides a glimpse at a blackened ETA A31.L01 self-winding movement endowed with 65 hours of power reserve. To keep the weight of the watch as low as possible, its matte black bridges are made from aluminum.
