Speedmaster HB-SIA Co-Axial GMT Chronograph is produced in a limited edition of numbered pieces. The watch pays tribute to the support of Omega toward the Solar Impulse project - which aims to be be the first to circumnavigate the globe in a solar powered airplane. It is a titanium self-winding men's watch with column wheel mechanism and Co-Axial Escapement for greater precision stability and durability of the movement. The watch utilizes Omega 3603 caliber movement, and it provides approximately 55 hours of power reserve.
This timepiece includes a powerful chronograph complication that consists of 12-hour, 30 minute and 1/10 second sub-dials. There is also a date window positioned between 4 and 5 o’clock. Watch is protected with scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment inside. The sapphire case back has the Solar Impulse mission patch printed on in color and is inscribed "OMEGA SOLAR IMPULSE HB-SIA". In addition the case back has the following engraved around the patch "100m/330FT - CO-AXIAL - CHRONOMETER - TEST - FLIGHT - No. XXX". The masculine design is complemented with tachymeter bezel and orange exclusive rubber bracelet. This watch is water resistant to 100 meters. |
