Alexander Shorokoff designed a watch in honor of the Russian champion boxer Kostya Tszyu.

Alexander Shorokoff watch brand is based in the heart of Germany, in the town of Alzenau near Frankfurt. The company is named after its founder Alexander Shorokhoff who was born in 1960 in Moscow. In 1992, he founded a marketing company in order to sale and market the best and most important Russian watch brand Poljot, but it was not long before he started to produce his own watches. In 1995, he launched his first own watch brand „Poljot-International“ and already in 2003 he established the “Alexander Shorokhoff “ brand. Alexander Shorokhoff manufacture gathers highly-qualified watchmakers and engravers working together on unique highly complicated watches. All of their creations are designed to honor some of the greatest men of Russia.

Their latest watch is dedicated to the Russian champion boxer Kostya Tszyu. This semi-retired Russian-Australian boxer was was the first champion to unify the junior welterweight division in over 30 years. He’s still considered in Australia to a national sports hero, inducted in the prestigious International Boxing Hall of Fame for the Class of 2011.

Alexander Shorokoff Chronograph Kostya Tszyu Watch is a part of a watch collection known under the name "Great Masters of Russia." The watch is crafted in stainless steel and featured in a robust round case of 42.9mm in diameter. It is propelled by ETA Valjoux 7750 movement visible from the back of the case. The chronograph watch boasts four large Arabic numerals and two sub-counters. Day/date double window is positioned at 3 o’clock, while double window at 9 o’clock indicates the individual number of the limited edition. This double window actually serves as a rectangular small seconds dial, and makes a nice symmetry with day/date window.

This is a limited edition piece produced in 270 individual copies. Each copy has its own number engraved on the case-back. The name of the champion boxer Kostya Tszyu is featured on the dial along with his silhouette, and repeated on the back of the case. Alexander Shorokoff Chronograph Kostya Tszyu, limited to 270 pieces, is priced at 4,700 Euros.
