The spooky season is upon us, so Graham introduces the special edition Chronofighter Vintage Ltd adorned with a skull motif. This limited edition model, produced in only 25 exemplars, actually honors the Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, a Mexican holiday dedicated to friends and family members who have died.
The special edition Chronofighter Vintage Ltd is crafted from stainless steel coated by grey PVD to obtain a distinctive “old metal” aged appearance. A sandblasted black dial reveals a painted colorful Calavera skull at 6 o’clock – a motif borrowed from Mexican tradition- and a bone shaped 12 numeral coated with white Super-LumiNova. The image represents edible or decorative skulls made from either sugar or clay which are used in Dia de los Muertos celebrations. On a symbolic level, it serves as an artistic reminder of the inevitability of death – a memento mori.
The generously sized 44mm case accommodates the automatic chronograph movement G1747, certified by Chronofiable for its improved shock absorption. The left side of the case reveals a fast-action start / stop trigger and reset pusher, designed in such a way to evoke early stopwatches used by World War 2 flying officers. Intended to be operated with the thumb, the fastest of all fingers, the lever on the left is effortlessly reached with the right hand. It starts and stops the chronograph function for the most precise timing results.
The movement operates at a standard frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, ensuring around 48 hours of power reserve. It offers day and date indicator at 9 o’clock, a small seconds counter at 3 o’clock, and a red chronograph hand at 6 o’clock. The caliber can be admired through the sapphire crystal case-back engraved with limited edition number of each watch.
Graham Chronofighter Vintage Ltd is water resistant to 100 meters. The watch is paired with a black rubber strap with mesh pattern, and secured to the wrist with a titanium pin buckle. The suggested retail price for this special edition model, reference 2CVAV.B28A, is 5,950 USD. For more information, please visit graham1695.com.

Geo.Graham Orrery Tourbillon
One of the most beautiful watches I’ve seen in a while is Graham’s new Geo.Graham Orrery Tourbillon, a new version of Graham’s most complicated creation. This astonishing astronomical watch was originally introduced in 2013, to mark the 300th anniversary of the first orrery. The highly complex creation takes its design principles from the first modern orrery mechanisms, which were built by George Graham and his contemporaries in 17th and early 18th century. Orrery is, actually, a mechanical model of the solar system, used to represent and predi...
Graham Chronofighter Vintage 15th Anniversary Edition
This large, masculine model distinguished by its oversized chronograph trigger that starts and stops the time-measuring instrument, recalls the bygone era when stopwatches used by pilots were, in fact, just large pocket watches strapped over bomber jackets. Extremely reliable and precise, these timing instruments were operated by men fully clad in heavy leather jackets and big gloves. Since the gloves inhibited free movement of fingers, the dependable chronograph trigger system had to be developed in order to help them use their watches with ea...
