Ateliers deMonaco is a young and independent high-end luxury watch company based in Monaco.
This exciting manufacture is specialized in complicated horological masterpieces made in very limited editions. Their yearly production is only about a few tens of units, and all the pieces they create are completely in-house developed and manufactured.
Their newest piece is this beautiful ladies’ watch La Sirène. It is the first women’s high-end watch, made by the Manufacture, named and inspired by Mrs. Charlene Wittstock, and issued in honor of her recent marriage to HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco. The piece is named La Sirène out of respect of Charlene’s swimming achievement.
The dazzling piece is made in the image of The King Protea (Protea cynaroides), the national flower of South Africa, which is the home country of Charlene. The dial features an astonishing ornament that evokes a distinctive symmetrical pattern found on the flower. It is set by light blue Topaz, which is alleged to chase away melancholy, induce wisdom and keep the wearer on the path of virtue.
The case is made in white gold and boasts 39 millimeters in diameter. It conceals refined automatic movement made using the state of art technology. The components are made in Silicium and generously decorated. The hand engraved rotor features epic deMonaco hand at the reverse side.
The watch will be produced in a limited edition and the exact number of series is not yet announced. It all depends on the Manufacture’s ability to find the most refined gemstones. The price will also depend on the gemstones, and it starts from €80.000.
