The newest jewellery watch collection from Boucheron, radiates with femininity and once again proves this brand is completely focused on creating exquisite jewellery timepieces and objects of desire.
Boucheron watches are celebrated as the perfect blend between magic of jewelry and watchmaking expertise. The House of Boucheron is a French family dynasty founded by Frédéric Boucheron in 1858. He was the first jeweler to move to Place Vendôme. He chooses 26 Place Vendôme, where Boucheron workshop is still located, because it was the sunniest corner of the square, which would make his diamonds glitter in the windows even more vividly.
Their new piece Héra Tourbillon a new one-of-a-kind piece that combines most delicate of all movements, tourbillon, and the brand’s proven jewellery expertise. The watch was named after the Greek goddess who purportedly added the “eyes” to the peacock’s tail. Peacock is a symbol of this ancient queen of the Olympic pantheon, and was considered sacred to Hera, both because they symbolize her pride and because her chariot was said to be pulled by peacocks.
For this reason, the rich texture crafted from white gold is delicately carved to create soft diamond feathers. The watch is adorned with more than 35 carats of diamonds, Paraiba tourmalines and sapphires, which all sparkle in a breathtaking light, creating an illusion of movement. The bezel is set with 52 white diamonds, while a blue sapphire finishes the crown.
Hidden under the feathers is three gold Bridges Tourbillon designed by Girard-Perregaux. The movement is manually adorned with jewels and different shades of green tourmalines, to create a body of a peacock. Tourbillon is manually assembled from 72 different components, and skillfully miniaturized to fit within a one-centimeter diameter.
