For the first time ever, Girard-Perregaux introduces its iconic Laureato model entirely clad in black ceramic. Earlier this year, the famous Swiss watchmaker introduced a completely new Laureato watch family, the fourth evolution of the 1975 created collection "Laureato." The new addition to the contemporary Laureato range is a casual chic and highly wearable watch, distinguished by its strong presence, and bold, dark design.
Laureato Black Ceramic 42 mm underpins some of the signature design codes of the classic Laureato. The watch features Laureato’s recognizable polished octagonal bezel fitted on an integrated case, meaning without lugs or loops. The use of ceramic, known for its extreme hardness, improves the bezel’s resistance to scratches.
The all black ceramic case, measuring 42mm in diameter, is mounted on the bracelet that acts as a natural extension of the case. The bezel is assembled from wide shaped satin-brushed links and domed and polished interlink elements, both entirely made of black ceramic. Even though the watch is all black, the interplay of its polished and satin-brushed surfaces creates fascinating depth effects and enlivens the darkest shade of all.
This sporty elegant watch is animated by the mechanical self-winding caliber GP01800-0025 that drives indications for hours, minutes, center seconds, and a date. The movement is composed of 191 individual parts and 28 jewels, it beats at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, and provides around 54 hours of power reserve.
