Kaamos is a Finnish word for the mystical winter period when the sun doesn’t rise above the horizon. During these months the land is cloaked only in a dim veil of light, sinking the whole nation into gloom and depression.

Celebrating the beginning of the polar night, Sarpaneva Watches introduces Kaamos, the DLC coated black version of Korona K2. This second edition timepiece features a diamond coated three-part dial and date disc. The modified Soprod A10 movement is perlage finished followed by black nickel coating. Luminous hands and indexes give a sliver of hope for the next sunrise.

All Sarpaneva watches are designed and handcrafted by Stepan Sarpaneva himself. Born in 1970 to a Finnish family with a long heritage of craftsmanship, Stepan Sarpaneva's ambition is to create unique designs that fuse timeless elegance with Scandinavian simplicity. Based in Helsinki, Finland, Sarpaneva Watches manufactures mechanical timepieces of outstanding quality, created in the spirit of the traditional watchmaker's art.
