Last year marked a return of the Swiss watchmaker MCT. After being away from the scene for a couple of years, MCT had returned with two new MCT Sequential One S110 models. For BaselWorld 2014, MCT announces the new watch – MCT Sequential Two S 200.
MCT – Manufacture Contemporaine du Temps – presents its new Sequential Two S 200 model, which features MCT’s signature prism display, but, for the very first time, in a round case. The watch is powered by an in-house automatic-winding movement with 18-carat gold micro-rotor, and it indicates hours using four modules comprised of five triangular prisms. The current hour is marked by an open aperture in a C-shaped arc that circles around the center of the dial. It rotates sequentially 90° anticlockwise, emphasizing the over-size hour numeral, while the minutes are being displayed around its full border.

The gorgeous black movement is hand-finished, and it makes a nice, contrasting background for a golden oscillating weight, the screws and the mainspring chaton. The mechanism, made of 507 individual components, is visible through the sapphire crystal case back. The wearer can admire looking at the hand finished black bridges and plates with “Côtes de Genève”, perlage and hand-beveled edges. The movement beats at 28,800vph and it runs on approximately 40 hours of power reserve. The hairspring is fitted with Breguet terminal curve, while the high-efficiency gear tooth profiles guarantee less energy wasted in friction losses, more consistent power supply and longer power reserve.

The visually impressive case of the MCT Sequential Two S 200 is immediately recognizable as by MCT thanks to the elegantly curved lugs and sapphire crystal ring around the case-band. This 44.6 mm-diameter model is available in either 18-carat red gold or 18-carat white gold, mounted on an alligator leather strap with anti-allergy inner lining. Depending on the version, the straps are fitted with a 18-carat gold or titanium folding clasps.

The MCT Sequential Two S 200 is water resistant to 30 meters. The watch is delivered with a two-year manufacturer’s warranty from date of purchase. More information about this model will be available following the BaselWorld 2014 exhibition, which runs from March 27 to April 3, 2014, in Basel, Switzerland.
