Montblanc Vintage Tachydate belongs to the Collection Villeret 1858 line of watches, and represents the first piece of this line that features both chronograph and date indication. The watch will be offered in a limited edition of 58 pieces white gold and 58 pieces red gold. This number isn’t chosen by chance – it is reflected in the long history of Minerva Watches, a brand established in 1858 in Villeret, Switzerland. This brand was acquired by Montblanc, giving a birth to an exquisite line of haute horlogerie timepieces named Montblanc Collection Villeret.

Montblanc Vintage Tachydate will be presented in 43.5 millimeters wide, highly polished case with luxurious golden dial finished in ivory or silver lacquer. Date indication is featured in a sub-counter positioned at 6 o’clock, while two chronograph counters nicely balance the composition. The functions are propelled by the new in-house hand-wound movement, caliber MB M16.32, developed especially for this watch. The single integrated crown pusher controls the functions of the chronograph.

The new Montblanc Vintage Tachydate provides 50 hours of power reserve, when fully wound, and it is sealed against the ingress of water to up to 30 meters. The watch is mounted on a hand-stitched alligator strap, fastened to the wrist with golden buckle. It will be available for purchase starting from spring 2012, under the reference number 107342. The price is yet to be announced.
