Rebellion is launching its new creation, the automotive-inspired 540 Magnum Tourbillon wristwatch.
Rebellion 540 Magnum Tourbillon is a watch that excells in endurance watchmaking, thanks to the proprietary REB T-14 movement with 14 days of power reserve. The enormous amount power reserve, which is one of the main features of the watch, is possible thanks to the twin mainspring barrels, which are arranged in series for optimal performance. The barrels are individually relief-engraved with 'Passion' 'Speed' 'Rebel' and ‘Extreme’ 'Victory' 'Glory’. The power is regulated by a large-diameter, 60-second tourbillon escapement, nested in a ceramicized-magnesium cage.
The careful choice of materials and the clever design is what makes Rebellion 540 Magnum Tourbillon to be super lightweight. The mainplate and ¾ back plate are respectively crafted from aluminum and carbon fiber. The case id made from carbon fiber and it is completed by natural rubber strap. The dial is openworked not only to reveal the workings of the movement, but also to contribute to the high-tech character of the watch. The watch face thus reveals the balance wheel that rotates in the raised crenelated tourbillon cage at 4 o’clock, the dual mainspring barrels, double braced titanium bridges and gear train. The hour and minute hands are skeletonized, as well as the retrograde seconds lever at 6 o’clock and two power reserve displays (an at-a-glance indicator at 9 o’clock and a precision indicator at 7 o’clock.
Rebellion 540 Magnum Tourbillon is available in a limited edition of 10 exemplars in carbon fiber.
