Rotary introduces Tradition, a new line within its Les Originales collection.
The Swiss watchmaking brand Rotary, famous for its high quality, elegant timepieces at affordable prices, announces the launch of its new watch family. On the occasion of the BaselWorld 2016 trade show, the house of Rotary will introduce the new signature collection named the “Tradition.” Tradition is a new line within its Les Originales collection, and it represents a Rotary’s new generation, while staying true to its roots.
This Swiss manufacture has a long and successful history. It was established back in 1895 by Moise Dreyfuss, at La Chaux-de-Fonds. Today, the company is headquartered in Regent Street, London, United Kingdom, and still owned by the Dreyfuss family through Dreyfuss Group Holdings and, with Robert Dreyfuss at the helm. In other words, Rotary is the oldest family-owned and run Swiss watchmaker. In 2015, the brand celebrated its 120nd anniversary.
The Les Originales Tradition range is powered by Sellita automatic movements – the mechanical, automatic, Sellita SW200 calibre – which are also made visible from the back of the case. The 26-jewel movement beats at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, promising up to 38-hours of power reserve. In addition to hours and minutes, Les Originales Tradition models have functions for seconds and date. The elegant white dial reveals gold-colored or blue hour markers and hands, as well as a date indicator at 6 o’clock position.
Rotary Les Originales Tradition watches are made of stainless steel, with or without pink gold-plating. Their cases, measuring 40.5 mm in diameter, are topped with a domed sapphire crystal, and sealed with a sapphire crystal back. This model is water resistant to 50 meters, and it is available with a choice of brown leather or stainless steel bracelet, with a matching folding clasp.
