Senator Diary Glashutte Original iPhone app

Glashütte Original just launched their first iPhone application, named after their mechanical timepiece that allows the user to set an alarm up to 30 days in advance. The app is dubbed “Senator Diary” and it works as an interactive calendar and a functional diary for the iPhone.

In addition to the basic functions, the application also takes the users to the interactive tour through the manufactory, provides a closer look to the complicated watch movements and challenges the users with entertaining and instructive games.

Launching screen shows an elegant Glashütte Original piece that displays current date and time. Five gold pushers on the page offer complementary entry points into the fascinating world of the Saxon manufactory. DIARY is an calendar that can be used to set personal appointments and reminders. COLLECTION allows the user to explore Glashütte Original’s current collection. The overview display makes it easy to browse by simply flipping through images of the watches. Users will also get a chance to find out all about technical details of these watches, and some of them, such as highly complicated chronometers, are even displayed using a special animation.

HANDMADE pusher takes the users on an interactive tour at the manufactory in Glashütte, and helps the users learn more about the omplicated process of making a mechanical watch. STORES pusher makes it easy to find the nearest retailer, while the GAMES offer playful challenges for users and their friends.

The iPhone application "Senator Diary" can be downloaded directly from the "App Store" using the iPhone, or via PC and iTunes. The application is free.
