The Snyper One Red Limited watch will be featured on the wrist of Hollywood star Mark Wahlberg, in the film Deepwater Horizon that hits the theaters in a couple of weeks: «Based on real events that occurred on an oil platform in the Gulf of Mexico on 20 April 2010, the story tells of the courage of those who worked on the Deepwater Horizon and their intense bravery and dramatic fight for survival in the face what would become the largest ecological disaster caused by man in the history of the world.»
The Snyper One Red Limited is a large, masculine timepiece made of black PVD coated steel. The watch features a 53 mm wide case and a custom rubber strap, with a lot of design elements borrowed from military aesthetics and modern sniper rifles. For example, the cross-hairs on the dial, chronograph pushers shaped like firearm triggers, or two metal bars at 9 o’clock position evocative of clip holders. The bars actually have a very practical function, as they serve for mounting optional modules such as torches, lasers, or wind-proof lighters.
The case accommodates a self-winding chronograph movement, Snyper Calibre F101, with day/date function and a power reserve of 48 hours. The movement beats at a frequency of 28’800 vibrations per hour, and it features a customized oscillating rotor in Grey PVD coated with target logo in red. The black carbon dial is highlighted by red numerals, flange, and a special chronograph hand with target shape in center. Day window appears at 3 o’clock positon, and date is at 4 o’clock.
Snyper One Red Limited is water resistant to 100 meters. The watch is mounted on a black leather strap with contrasting red stitching and pin buckle. The watch, reference number 10.255.00, is available for $9,928.
