Breitling Colt Chronograph Automatic, a watch inspired by the original timing instruments intended for the armed forces, arrives in a new version, all dressed in black!
The legendary Colt Chronograph Automatic, which boldly boasts its military origins, asserts itself more strongly than ever as a sturdy, masculine watch, dedicated to all those passionate for adventures.
The new member of the Bretling Colt collection, which was entirely redesigned in 2011, is presented in a 44 mm-diameter satin-brushed stainless steel case. The deep black housing is coated in high-resistance carbon-based material, which gives it a distinctive shadowy appearance, and makes it even more resistant to environmental shocks. The large screw-locked crown, complete with protective reinforcements, ensures up to 200 meters of water resistance, making the Colt timepiece suitable for professional marine activity, serious surface water sports, and skin diving.
The sleek black dial is enlivened by a fine circular raised motif, while its readability is improved using oversized hands and hour-markers coated in luminous material. In addition to the 30-minute and 12-hour totalizers, the dial also reveals a red central chronograph seconds hand. The Colt Chronograph Automatic Blacksteel also stands out with its four “rider tabs” ensuring easy grip and handling even with gloves, and protecting the domed sapphire crystal.
Breitling Colt Chronograph Automatic Blacksteel is powered by the chronometer-certified movement Breitling Caliber 13. This high-frequency mechanism, mounted on 25 jewels, beats at a rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour. In addition to hour, minutes, and chronograph, it also provides a calendar function.
