Girard-Perregaux 1966 collection welcomes a new model. This time, the famous haute horlogerie brand presents the Dual Time version of its famous classic, offering a stylish alternative for executives and frequent travelers.
The latest piece from the Girard-Perregaux 1966 collection, the Dual Time model, brings a second time zone functionality to the celebrated line of automatic timepieces that pay a tribute to the most prosperous era in the Manufacture’s rich history. The collection is named after the year in which Girard-Perregaux launched its first high frequency movement, and it consists of elegant, vintage-inspired models with self-winding mechanisms. The Dual Time model is very practical for travelers, as it gives them the opportunity to determine the time in two different parts of the world by simply checking the dial on the wrist.

The simple, restrained, and very clear design of Girard-Perregaux 1966 Dual Time keeps up with the timeless elegance of the bygone sixties. At the same time, it brings a spirit of modernity and technical advance, which is mainly reflected in its ease of use. The comfortable operating is ensured by two push buttons that regulate all of the important functions. The local time is indicated by central leaf-shaped hands, which follow the passage of time down the railroad style track. The second time zone is indicated via the vibrant red hand, which moves down the central disk with 24-hour graduations.

The dual time function is complemented with an adjustable date indicator, which is controlled via the pusher located at 4 o’clock. The current date is shown on a separate counter, which appears at 6 o’clock position, framed with a fine godron.
Girard-Perregaux 1966 Dual Time is made of pink gold and it measures 40mm in diameter. The watch face is protected with a sapphire crystal, and rimmed by polished golden bezel. The fluted crown, positioned on one side of the case, is surrounded by two push buttons that provide quick adjustments for the second time zone function. On the inside beats the exclusive new self-winding mechanical caliber GP03300-0094, which runs on around 46 hours of power reserve. The beauty of the movement is partially disclosed via the sapphire crystal case-back.

Girard-Perregaux 1966 Dual Time is available in two dial versions – the off-white (reference 49544-52-131-BBB0) and anthracite gray (reference 49544-52-231-BB60). White dial is paired with a brown alligator strap, while the anthracite gray dial comes with a black alligator strap. Both straps are finished with golden pin buckle.
