Girard-Perregaux is launching a new model in the Traveller collection.
This renowned collection is aimed at frequent travelers juggling time zones, and to business executives who frequently communicate with partners from all around the world. The Traveller collection is the successor of the epic ww.tc collection, offering modernly designed timepieces of 44 mm in diameter, with the oscillating weight and the folding clasp designed to pay a tribute to the arrow of Girard-Perregaux’s symbolic three gold Bridges. The newest creation in this lineup is the Moon Phases and Large Date model.

Girard-Perregaux Traveller Moon Phases and Large Date is crafted in stainless steel and it comes in a complex case made from no less than 30 components. The surface of the housing is satin-brushed and polished, and its interplay of alternating contrasting finishes emphasizes the spherical opaline dial, framed by the deep-cut beveled minute scale. The dial is lit with luminescent accents and it reveals, the large date at 12 o’clock, topped by GP insignia in polished steel; the moon phase indicator is in the small seconds counter at 7.30 and the practical power reserve indicator appears at 4.30.
What makes this watch different from all others from the Traveler collection are its complications. The moon phase indicator represents the realistic image of the face of the moon made of mineral glass and metalized with a delicate gradation from black to grey. The dark backdrop is scattered with silvery stars, of which one is the Girard-Perregaux logo. The instantaneous large date, on the other hand, uses patented Girard-Perregaux system and jumps in 15 milliseconds. It consists of two disks – one transparent and the other matte, that overlap without leaving any borderline.

Girard-Perregaux Traveller Moon Phases and Large Date is powered by the self-winding mechanical movement Manufacture caliber GP03300, which beats at 28,800 Vib/ and provides 46 hours of power reserve. The watch is mounted on black alligator strap and it is available in two distinct versions, either in steel or in steel with ceramic bezel, with opaline or black dial. Depending on the variant, the watch comes with either white or black date window.
