On the occasion of the Geneva Trade Show 2014, Hublot presents the new Big Bang Unico, which is now totally black and matt. Introducing the Hublot Big Bang Unico All Black.
The Big Bang Unico, which was launched last year, is now available in an All-Black version and in a limited edition of 500 exclusive pieces. The Hublot’s All Black series is based on the “invisible visibility” concept, and the newest addition to this much desired range features the brand's signature chronograph movement – the HUB 1242 Unico. This automatic mechanism is completely developed and produced in the brand’s manufacture workshops, and it is unlike in the world of watchmaking thanks to the position of its mechanism with a horizontal double clutch and the renowned "column wheel" visible on the dial side - the horizontal double clutch with integrated column wheel on the dial side for the central 60-second counter and the small 60-minute counter positioned at 3 o'clock. The flyback chronograph movement is composed of 330 components and it beats at a 4 Hz frequency, while providing around 72 hours of power reserve.
Hublot Big Bang Unico All Black features a 45.5 mm diameter case and a robust bezel secured by 6 H-shaped screws. The screws have been slightly redesigned, and each of them is now in relief, giving more technical design to the watch. For the very first time since 2005, the Big Bang model features round push buttons, each protected by guard integrated in the middle. The watch face is fully skeletonized to reveal the glory of the movement. The dial features redesigned, more voluminous indexes and Arabic numerals, hollowed out and filled with black SuperLuminova. There are also two counters - one for the minutes positioned at 3 o'clock and the other at 9 o'clock for the small second – and a date window, positioned at 3 o’clock.
Hublot Big Bang Unico All Black is delivered with a structured and ribbed strap made from black rubber, with black PVD titanium deployant buckle. The strap features the practical “One Click” system that allows the wearer to switch between a wide choice of straps. The watch is water resistant to 100 meters and it is referenced as 411.CI.1110.RX.
