Hublot announced a start of the new strategic collaboration with the Tang Polo Club, the most prestigious polo club in China.
As of September 20, 2014, Hublot is the Official Timekeeper and Official Watch for Tang Polo Club and ‘China Open Polo Tournament 2014.’ To celebrate this special occasion, and honor its new partner, Hublot introduced the limited edition Chukker Bang watch that pays a tribute to the Tang Polo Club.
Hublot’s new Tang Polo Club limited edition watch Chukker Bang is an exclusive watch, produced in a very small series that is limited to only 20 pieces worldwide. This rare new model brings an interesting innovation to the Chukker Bang series, being the first carbon cased model with ceramic bezel featured in this range. As shown on the pictures, the limited edition Chukker Bang features a bold black body and equally dark dial. The dial is protected by titanium guardrail, which comes in the natural shade of this metal, standing out prominently against the shadowy backdrop. The guardrail protects the watch from impacts and shocks, especially during the polo match, but it can also be removed to reveal more elegant profile of the watch.
Hublot Chukker Bang Tang Polo Club Limited Edition is a rather large and sporty watch, which measures 44mm in diameter. Its neat and legible dial reveals the small second counter at 3 o’clock, decorated with the logo of the Tang Polo Club. The inscription Tang Polo appears in engraving at the 5 o’clock position, on the black ceramic bezel, which is decorated with six titanium screws – a distinctive detail that can be found on all Hublot watches.
The new model is fitted with HUB 1141 Polo fly automatic chronograph movement, which is developed specifically for polo fans and players. It has a unique feature to measure the elapsed time using the special seven minutes and 30 seconds timer, which is the exact length of a round of polo match (also known as chukka or chukker). The central chronograph hand, propelled by this movement, completes its journey across the dial in 30 seconds, instead of standard 60 seconds, which makes it twice faster than traditional timers. The movement is built on 59 jewels and 280 individual components, and it provides 42 hours of power reserve. It is water resistant to 100 meters.
Hublot Chukker Bang Tang Polo Club Limited Edition is mounted on a matching black strap, which is made of rubber and lined with a layer of soft-touch leather.
