Hublot announces unveiling of the custom King Power “305” timepiece, dedicated to the city of Miami.
September 26th sees the launch of the new Hublot piece dedicated to the city of Miami. The special launch event will take place on Wednesday, at the W South Beach. This exclusive limited edition watch is distinguished by the solid case-back engraved with the number 305 – which is the city's specific area code – and an outline of Miami Downtown. The colors are not chosen by chance – white and blue stand for the sand and sea of South Florida, making this new watch truly unique to the city of Miami and its residents.
The King Power Miami 305 is a limited edition of only 60 pieces in total. It arrives in two different variants, both crafted from King Gold and sculptured in the style 48 mm-diameter King Power watches. The satin-finished King Gold variant is available in 50 exemplars, while the diamond-set version comprises of only 10 pieces.
King Gold, the brand's proprietary alloy is actually 18 carat gold combined with 5% platinum to get the unusual red hue. Inside the case beats HUB 4214 mechanical self-winding skeleton chronograph movement endowed with 42 hours of power reserve. The movement makes 28,800 vibrations per hour and drives the functions for basic time telling as well as the chrono's sweep second hand. To ensure the perfect legibility, and yet to remain faithful to the original design, this watch boasts blue SuperLuminova on its gold-plated indexes and hands.
The diamond-set version of Hublot King Power Miami 305 is embellished with 248 white diamonds, approximately weighing 2.05carats. Both variants are water resistant to 100 meters and mounted on adjustable rubber and blue “Hornback” crocodile straps with contrasting white stitching.
