As we approach the next year, we’re becoming more and more impatient to see what have the watch brands prepared for the upcoming season. The Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie, scheduled for January 2012, is the first major watchmaking event of the year where nineteen watch brands will present their new products. Only two months later, in March 2012, we’re having another major watchmaking event – the renowned BaselWorld - the World Watch and Jewellery Show. This huge event hosts no less than 2000 companies from the watch, jewellery and precious-stone industries, showcasing their latest creations and innovations. BaselWorld is also a great place to introduce new brands and brand extension. One of the brands to be presented to the public for the first time at BaselWorld next year is HYT. The brand has just released a teaser in which they call themselves The Hydro Mechanical Horologists, announcing the full launch in March 2012. According to some sources, the head of the brand (possibly one of them) is Vincent Perriard, who used to be CEO of Concord and TechnoMarine. HYT is described as: a watch brand evolving in the upper luxury market creating exclusive hybrid mechanical timepieces for watch connoisseurs. Check out their premier teaser:

HYT H1 Full Gold Watch
HYT, one of the youngest independent luxury watchmakers, debuted back in 2012 with its highly original H1 model. The H1 watch, aptly dubbed the “hydro mechanical horological” timepiece, was built using the basic principles of hydromechanics.
