Ahead of the BaselWorld 2017, Oris adds two new references to its Calibre 113 range of watches. The Atelier Calibre 113 is the fourth in the company’s series of watches powered by in-house developed movements. The range, aimed at contemporary businessmen, is powered by the Calibre 113, a movement equipped with a practical business calendar complication, showing the day, date, week and month of the year.
Oris was founded in 1904, and by the late 1970’s it established itself as one of the Switzerland’s most productive watch manufacturers, with 279 in-house created movements and around 1.2 million watches and clocks produced per year. To celebrate its 110th anniversary, in 2014, Oris designed and created its first complete watch mechanism entirely developed in-house - Calibre 110. Calibre 113 is the fourth of the in-house movements produced by the brand. Just like its predecessors, it features a generous 10-day power reserve, and a patented arched power reserve indicator, positioned at 3 o’clock. The power reserve is offset by small seconds indicator, which appears in a separate sub-counter at 9 o’clock position.

The watch is presented in a 43mm multi-piece stainless steel case with a sapphire crystal glass and case back. Its practical business calendar complication includes apertures at 12 and 9 o’clock for the day and date indications, while the central pointer hand, with a red tip, shows the week and the month. All functions of the hand-wound Calibre 113, as well as time setting and winding, can be operated through a single crown. The movement beats at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour.
Both of the two new references are priced at CHF 5900. The Oris Artelier Calibre 113 with the anthracite dial, reference 01 113 7738 4063 LS, is available with a dark brown Louisiana croco leather strap or a stainless steel bracelet The Oris Artelier Calibre 113 with the opaline silver dial, reference 01 113 7738 4031 LS, is available with a grey, black or dark brown Louisiana croco leather strap or a stainless steel bracelet.
