Six months ago, the house of TAG Heuer has announced the beginning of its partnership with the Premier League. The Swiss watchmaker thus became the first Official Timekeeper in the history of the English professional league for men's association football clubs. Now, motivated by strong demand of football fans across the world, TAG Heuer releases the first in the series of special limited edition watches dedicated to the most watched football league in the world.
The first special edition Premier League watch is a sporty Aquaracer that bears the colors of the Premier League. The exclusive new edition is crafted from stainless steel, and it boasts 43mm in diameter. The masculine proportioned case houses the Calibre 5 mechanical movement (the Sellita SW200), which beats at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, and provides around 38 hours of power reserve. This sporty-elegant three-hander is also fitted with a date indicator equipped with a magnifier, and sealed against the ingress of water up to 300 meters of depth.
The case is topped with a sleek black ceramic bezel, which is specially designed for this football-inspired watch. The bezel is marked with the white-lacquered 45-minute numerals for each period of half-time, and red-lacquered 15 minutes of extra time. The bezel embraces the anthracite grey dial with elegant sunray finish. It features the new Premier League lion logo at 9 o'clock, the MatchTimer inscription in the centre, and the baton indexes coated in white SuperLuminova. The hour hand is rhodium-plated, while the minute and second are red.
The new TAG Heuer Aquaracer Premier League Special Edition features a screw-on case-back with an exclusive engraving of the Premier League lion and the inscription “Official Timekeeper.” The watch is mounted on an integrated steel link bracelet with steel folding buckle with safety push-buttons and diving extension.
