TAG Heuer continues its collaboration with Automobile Club de Monaco (ACM) this year and unveils three new racing-inspired watches: the Carrera Calibre 16 Monaco Grand Prix, the Monaco Calibre 12 ACM and the Monaco 24 Calibre 36.
TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre 16 Chronograph Day-Date Grand Prix de Monaco Limited Edition is the newest incarnation of the first sports chronograph designed for professional drivers – the famous Jack Heuer’s Carrera. The original model, dating from 1963, was named after the Carrera Panamericana Mexico Road Race, and it was for many years worn by Ferrari drivers. The newest edition is developed for Vodafone McLaren Mercedes drivers and sports car enthusiasts. It is dedicated to the most challenging race of our times – the thrilling Monaco Grand Prix.
This exclusive limited edition is crafted from polished steel and it measures 43mm in diameter. Its black aluminum bezel features the “Monaco Grand Prix” lettering in red, along with the tachymetre scale. There is the Monaco Grand Prix logo on the case back, printed next to the individual limited edition number of each timepiece. The watch is mounted on a black rubber strap decorated with the F1 1964 tyre tread motif. The functions of the watch are propelled by TAG Heuer Calibre 16 movement, which beats at 28.800 vibrations per hour and provides about 42 hours of power reserve. Thanks to this high-quality Swiss movement, the Chrono can show hours, minutes and small seconds at 9 o’clock. In addition, there are chronograph hours and minutes counters, associated with the central seconds counter, and day/date indicator at 3 o’clock. Ref: CV2A1M.FT6033
TAG Heuer Monaco Calibre 12 Chronograph Automobile Club de Monaco Black Edition comes in the emblematic square-shaped case, evoking the Monaco model which was first worn by Steve McQueen in the movie Le Mans. This year, the watch is issued in F1-grade black titanium carbide and graced with luminescent markers. The ACM logo appears on the smoked-crystal sapphire case-back, while the watch face reveals Monaco lettering above TAG Heuer logo. This is a bit smaller watch that measures 39mm in diameter. It utilizes TAG Heuer Calibre 12 automatic movement (4Hz) and provides about 40 hours of power reserve. The watch displays hours, minutes and small seconds, it has a small date window and chronograph minutes counter paired with an orange-tipped hand. Ref: CAW211M.FC6324
TAG Heuer Monaco Twenty Four Calibre 36 Chronograph 40.5mm Black Dial features the oversized number 24 at 12 o’clock. This mark is a nod to the 24 hours of Le Mans, which is the most popular endurance race in the world. The watch is crafted from stainless steel and it features a Calibre 36 movement that beats at 36,000 vibrations per hour. The movement is endowed with annular oscillating mass, which is visible through the sapphire crystal case-back.
