Zenith presents a new range of watches, inspired by the time and flight-deck instruments that this famous Swiss brand manufactured in the early days of aviation.
To honor the conquests of the skies, Zenith is launching a brand new Pilot Montre d'Aéronef Type 20 Lady 40 mm which is now aimed exclusively at ladies who appreciate fine watchmaking.
The new feminine model is based on the historical Montre d’Aéronef Zenith Type 20, which was, during the 1930's, one of the chief instruments in many different aircrafts, including the Caudron Simoun C. 635 planes used by the French air force.
The Montre d’Aéronef Type 20 “40 mm Lady is available in four different variants, each featuring a generously proportioned 40mm case. There are a number of details evoking the origins of the model - a racheted crown, which reminds on the aviator watches, and the Zenith flying instruments insignia engraved on the case-back.
Zenith Montre d’Aéronef Type 20 “40 mm Lady is available in a glamorous full-set versions in rose or white gold, which feature 491 diamonds (about 3 carats) on the dial, bezel and lugs. More simple versions are presented with a silver-tone dial with diamond-set bezels (about 0,95 carats) in rose gold or steel. The watch faces reveal over-sized Arabic numerals made from blocks of SuperLuminova, and a small seconds subdial at 9 o’clock.
Zenith Montre d’Aéronef Type 20 “40 mm Lady is powered by the Elite 681 automatic movement and it is sealed against the ingress of water to up to 100 meters. This model is available on satin beige or black bracelet for the full-set models, or on a brown alligator leather strap for those models that feature diamond-set bezel

Depending on the version, Zenith Montre d’Aéronef Type 20 “40 mm Lady are priced from $7,900 to $42,000.
