Movado Master Automatic Chronograph watch

The Movado Master is a Bauhaus-inspired collection characterized by oversized tonneau-shaped cases with gear-edge bezel and screw-down crown. First Movado Master models were introduced in 2009. These dynamic timepieces are strongly influenced by the industrial and architectural expressions of the Bauhaus movement. This 20th-century German school of design is famous for combining crafts and the fine arts. The aesthetic of Bauhaus is rooted in the idea of creating a 'total' work of art in which all arts, including architecture would be brought together, using techniques and materials employed particularly in industrial production and manufacture.



The Movado Master Automatic Chronograph is crafted in stainless steel and offered in, rather large, 45 mm wide case. The watch is topped with a black sapphire bezel, which delicately shimmers, adding to the elegant appeal of the creation. The epic Movado Museum dial is here offered in mate black color with textured details and irregular printed indexes. The grid pattern motif and rhodium decoration are successful in creating a feeling of three-dimensional composition. The silver-framed sub dials are overlapping with the asymmetrical inner circle at 6, 3 and 9 o’clock, to indicate the hours, minutes and small seconds, respectively.

The watch utilizes Automatic, ETA caliber, equipped with 27 jewels, and able to provide 48 hours of power reserve. Water resistant to 300 meters, the watch is completed with grid-patterned black or smooth white rubber strap with stainless steel folding clasp.
