F1 King Power Gold India, new limited edition watch from Hublot

Posted 1 year, 2 months ago

Hublot celebrates the first ever FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX OF INDIA by presenting the new F1 King Power Gold India limited edition watch.

Since March 2010, Hublot stands out as the official watchmaker of Formula 1. Hublot and Formula 1 have made the a multi-year contract to produce a range of high tech, limited edition, and very luxurious Formula 1 watches. The charming partnership between Hublot and Bernie Ecclestone, the CEO of Formula One Management and Formula One Administration, came to our attention a couple of months ago when mr. Ecclestone created a humorous ad for watch brand Hublot, after being violently attacked and robbed in London, on 25 November. This time, the occasion is more glamorous since Hublot celebrates the first ever FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX OF INDIA by presenting the new F1 King Power Gold India limited edition watch.

This true collectors’ piece will be available in only 200 individually numbered pieces. Presented in a “King Gold” case, measuring 48 mm in diameter, this large watch boasts the famous F1 logo and colors of the Indian flag. The matt black dial is adorned with the F1 logotype, Indian-flag colors on the sub-counters, and unusual orange Super LumiNova. The small seconds subdial positioned at 6 o’clock bares “India” inscription, making this piece immediately recognizable as a rare and appreciated wristwatch. Colors of Indian flag are again repeated on the Nomax strap, with orange, white and green stitching, attached on a black rubber.

Some of the materials used for this watch are very unusual and bare strong reminiscence of diver’s equipment. For example, the black ceramic bezel is decorated with satin finishing and multiple holes, reminding of a performance brake disc. It is fastened with 6 black titanium screws and matched with black composite resin.

The watch utilizes Hublot calibre HUB4100, mechanical chronograph with automatic winding, composed of 234 individual components and equipped with 27 jewels. This generous movement provides 42 hours of power reserve. The watch is water resistant to 100 meters, and known under the reference number 703.OM.1138.NR.FMO10.
