Hublot for Only Watch 2011 - Oceanographic 4000

This is the very first piece in completely new Oceanographic line, featured in vibrant red color. Red and white time markers evoke the colors of the Monaco flag, paying a special tribute to the "Musée Océanographique de Monaco" (Monaco Oceanographic Museum), an official partner of Hublot. This is the very same city state on the Côte d'Azur where the Only Watch charity auction takes place every two years.

Oceanographic 4000 is a professional diver's watch, able to withstand extreme depths of up to 4000 m. The case is made in carbon fiber with composite resin sides. Topped with carbon-fiber bezel, the watch boasts 48 millimeters in diameter. The caseback is made in micro-blasted titanium with black PVD treatment.The watch is powered by Swiss automatic Hublot caliber HUB1401, and offers 42 hours of power reserve.

If you’re interested for this piece, the biannual Only Watch 2011 Charity Auction starts on September 22, 2011. The auction is held in Monaco, at Hotel Hermitage. Since the last edition in September 2009, € 2,5 million have been donated to 18 scientific partners for research on Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
