Jaquet Droz GRANDE SECONDE SW 2011 In Stores

The SW stands for the Sports Watch, and the design of this model truly demonstrates the brand’s unchanged passion for both tradition and innovation. This watch celebrates some of the emblematic features of the brand: immediately recognizable Grande Seconde display, and repeated symbolism of number 8. Both motifs are melting in a single composition formed by two intersecting sub-counters. The number eight, a symbol of good fortune, emerges from overlapping subsidiary seconds and hours/minutes counters.



The watch is offered in two variations. First of them is Grande Seconde SW Steel – Ceramic, crafted in stainless steel and topped with black ceramic scratch-proof fluted bezel. The other model is Grande Seconde SW Red Gold – Titanium. It offers lightness and strength of titanium with the elegant and refined red gold. The dial of the golden model is made of carbon fibers and bears a unique geometrical ornamenting that reflects the light in a different way every time the wearer moves the wrist. With special attention to the detail, both models are adorned with glowing Super-LumiNova, which reveals another face of a watch as soon as the lights go down.



Inside of their cases beats Jaquet Droz 2663A-S, which is a self-winding mechanical movement with ruthenium treatment. The movement has 18-carat white gold oscillating weight and offers 68 hours of power reserve. Individual serial number engraved on the case-back. Both watches boast 45 millimeters in diameter; they are water resistant to 50 meters and mounted on natural black rubber straps.
